Answer
Decision Making in Design Process
Level 1: aspectual intention: This level links the epistemological opening between behavioral and functional intentions, and the assortment of physical components. It is considered as the highest level because it enables the implementation of thoughts (Haupt, 2016).
Level 2: Functional + behavioural intentions: At this point, designers acquire some vital expectations concerning the designed artefact’s behavior and function in their design succinct, which they gradually improve as their understanding of the setting grows. They try to get a comprehensible picture of the required artefact’s purpose in the setting of the problem at hand (Haupt, 2016).
Level 3: Physical elements: This level speaks about the essential materiality of artefacts, as well as their properties and constituents. Design thinkers characteristically ask questions and produce concepts concerning what components and properties a particular object has and establish their connections to facilitate decision making (Haupt, 2016).
Level 4: Implementation intentions: At this point, questions are posed regarding how designers’ external contexts affect their articulation in executing their functional and aspectual intentions to acquire the yearned behavior. At this level, they are more specific than functional and aspectual stages since it is more intimately related to designers making and proliferating dedication (Haupt, 2016).
