Question:
Discuss the development of civil engineers towards the domain of sustainable development.
Answer:

Introduction
It has been observed in the recent developments towards the development of civic amenities and civil engineering that a lot of emphasis is being laid on the aspects of sustainable development (Mittal and Sethi, 2018, pp. 245-263). The recent trend does impose a lot of commitments of concern for the civil engineers towards the domain of sustainable development.
The civil engineers are found to be extremely cautious nowadays regarding the different types of land filling and land mapping activities (Sorvig and Thompson, 2018, pp. 278-390). However, it causes minimum harm for the nature in respect to the construction activities.
It had been observed previously that a large number of previously build constructions had lethal impacts on the nature as well as the ecology of the concerned regions (Sutherland et al., 2016, pp.44-53). Modern day engineers are taught the various impacts of engineering activities on the nature and they are specially trained to keep the prospects of construction in mind before taking up any type of construction projects and also during its implementation in the concerned activity (Bagiati and Evangelou, 2018, pp. 83-111).
A large number of construction that has been made in the different sites of Melbourne, Victoria and other regions of NSW, Australia does show a perfect example for such a cause (Morán?Ordóñez et al., 2017, pp.371-384). Most of the recent buildings that has been constructed has found to be ecologically sustainable to the concerned environment (Wong and Zhou, 2015, pp.156-165). The impact of the development of such type of the buildings has been found to be extremely minimum in respect to the construction of such type of the buildings neatly 10 years ago in the same domain. The implications of the civil engineers have been found to be quite innovative in the development of cost effective and economically feasible units for the successful compatibility of the human evolution and sustainability of the nature (Larcher and Tarascon, 2015, p.19). The modern day institutes are also responsible for developing a high level of awareness in this concerned domain.
