Answer:
Aviation, as most people view it is kind of a course to study not only for hospitality purposes but also for marketing, operations, financing and general human management in the airlines and also in maintaining the image of companies mostly dealing with airlines and airports. In general, aviation deals mostly with the creation of good rapport by the service providers in the aviation area to the customers for harmonious interactions amongst the individuals. According to Dr David Keirsey, on the issues to do with temperament, he clearly distinguishes four types of temperaments, which includes; artisan, guardian, idealist and rational. These four temperaments are crucial in the aviation industry since the to explain how to handle every individual in the aviation industry and mostly in the air transport industry. In this particular topic, we are to concentrate on only one of the four temperaments; guardian. Guardian type of temperament will help in identifying areas of strengths of the pilot, areas of improvement, different characteristics of individuals and how to handle the differences.
Generally, temperament deals mostly with the character traits of a person, and as a guardian, one is supposed to possess some traits that will help him/her in dealing with the passengers in an aeronautical. Firstly, a guardian is considered to be cooperative, concrete and reliable (Stolzer,2017). In aviation, for an individual to be able to manage whatever he/she is entrusted to, he should be cooperative. Taking an example of a pilot, he should cooperate with other workers in coordinating on the issue to landing. As a guardian, one is expected to be concrete, i.e., should be realistic in whatever action he takes.
As a guardian in the aviation industry, there are some areas one is supposed to improve on, for example, he/she should be effective in communication (Hayward & Lowe, 2017) to ensure that every information is well delivered at the right time and to the right audience, especially the pilot. The guardian should also have a sense of respect and a good service provider. The air hostesses provide services to the passengers and therefore should respect them at all cost for a good rapport to be created (Aviation. 2016). As a guardian, one is supposed to be accommodative to be able to tolerate the differences amongst individuals such as the artisans and rationals who tend to be utilitarians. In case of multiple service providers in the aviation industry, as a guardian, one is supposed to be a supervisor, inspector as well as protector. A pilot, for instance, is responsible for the safety of every individual in the craft and should, therefore, take extra care in handling the plane.
In conclusion, it is evident that to uphold good aviation management; one is supposed to uphold some pointed out traits that will help in maintaining and improving the field and keeping every individual at ease during travels or even. The workers in this field should be radiant when giving out services to create a bearable environment for everyone. As guardians also, they should be good communicators and accommodative to ensure that every individual enjoys each moment of their services.
