What are your images of the “Middle Ages” or the “medieval period” when you hear those terms? What comes to mind, and why do those images come to mind? What sources of more modern media have influenced your understanding of these time periods?
 
Many historians have suggested that it can be difficult for people living in the so-called secular, worldly 21st century to understand life in the early Middle Ages when spirituality and religious faith held such a strong influence on people’s lives, and the Church itself proved to be one of the most powerful entities. How different are these world views, in your opinion?
 
What are some of the ways in which we still see the lasting effects of “antifeminism” in today’s world? (This response is opinion. please be brief. maybe a paragraph or two. There is another part to the assignment which is writing a response to a peer’s post which I will add later)
