Question

Provide a brief introduction in Bhagavad-Gita chapter 1 and chapter 2 deep analysis on the message and the Hindu philosophy ?

Answer
The Essence of the First two Chapters of Srimadbhagwad Geeta
Introduction
Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 of Srimad Bhagwat Geeta explain certain concepts of the Dharma (duties); Hindu way of life says that there are three duties assigned for every adult in this world. They are “Earning the wealth” “worshiping for the salvation” and “Reproduction to carry forward the bloodline.” This phase of a person’s life is also known as “Grihastha Ashram.  ” The teachings of Srimadbhagwat Geeta connect us to the concept of the Karm Yog and its subdivisions. Chapter one and chapter two of this eternal philosophy of the life to handle the complexity of relationships, good and evil has its relevance in the times of the Kalyug “the age of machinery” as well (Gupta, 2016). It connects us to the path of salvation even when we are living a worldly life and fulfilling our Dharma’s.
Chapter 1
Hindu religion identifies the embodiment of power to create and conduct life in the form of Adi Shakti . Various religious scriptures of Hinduism identifies the aadishakti as the shat Roopa ” the goddess in hundred different forms”. One of the forms is known as Mahamaya  “the illusion of surrounding the life.” Chapter one talks about some negative personality traits that can create a hindrance in the path of dispensing right karma under the influence of Delusion or Maya. While setting up the life of Arjun as the simile (Chappel, 2010). Lord Krishna explained the concept of the attachment or the Raaga in the range of the verses starting from verse 26 to 28. Raaga is a sense of ownership, Lord Krishna declines this sense and further elaborates the concept of Delusion and grief. He says that it the world is a delusion causing an attachment with living and non-living possessions (Arnold, 2017). Raag , Momaya and other emotions connected to the human weaknesses are explained well in the Hindu system of religion based philosophy (Arnold, 2017).
The teachings of the chapter one connect us to the human weaknesses and show us a path that how we can gradually conquer them under the light of the words spoken by Lord Krishna in chapter one. It says, the sense of possession gives its own share of happiness in the life but in the end, it becomes the reason for the grief as well.  Chapter one explains about the interconnectivity of pain and grief as a sub-product of the attachment and delusion (Mukundananda, 2013). In this chapter Lord Krishna explains that Arjun (embodiment of all the souls in the universe) should get rid of attachment and come out the delusion caused by the relations. Deep-rooted Hindu philosophies identify that the supreme purpose of your life is to purify your soul and find a path to connect with the supreme power.
Chapter 2
Shri Krishna then tells him the essence of the life by explaining the concept of the Karmyog . This concept says that perform all the deeds as if you are serving the almighty and receive that good or the bad fruits of the Karma as the gift from the side of the almighty (Mukundananda, 2013). This chapter gives us an idea that how we can define fair or unfair conduct in this world. Hindu philosophies clearly state that we are destined for our final frontier in the life as it is being inscribed by Lord Brahma. Still, we have a partial control over the path that we are choosing in our life (Mukundananda, 2013).
Devoid of the result that we are fair or unfair we should focus on our consciousness, the soul has a voice; we should purify our hearts and choose a path to become Gyaani “knowledgeable person”. This chapter says that the knowledge is the power of the emancipation from the evils of the life, knowledge is the first step towards the purification of the soul and this purification becomes the torch for the selection of the right karmas (Good deeds) to attain the salvation (Chappel, 2010).
