Introduction
The disasters are the most unfortunate and serious disruptions that although occur for short span of time, however are responsible for bringing massive destructions within a city. These risks are unmanageable and could result into deaths of numerous human beings and animals (Thompson, 2013). This essay focuses on the planning disasters for animals with proper details.
Discussion
The disaster plan for animals is given below:
i) Putting ID in the collars of animals and keeping disaster kits for emergency purposes.
ii) The local emergency management should be informed immediately.
iii) Animal shelters and veterinarians should be contacted accordingly.
iv) The unsafe nooks or crannies should be eliminated so that the frightened cats or dogs could not hide.
v) The toxic products and tools should be eradicated immediately.
vi) The animals should not be allowed to roam loosely (Durkee, 2013).
vii) Once the disaster is over, thorough checkups are required for the animals.
Conclusion
Therefore, from this above discussion, it can be concluded that animals often get trapped during disasters and humans are unable to save them. This causes deaths of several innocent animals in disasters like earthquakes, fires, floods and many more. However, with the successful implementation of some methodologies, one could save the lives of these animals. The above essay has discussed planning for animals during disasters.
Recommendation
The best recommendation for the disaster planning for animals is to enclose an emergency sensor within the collars of these animals. This particular sensor could sense the danger like fire, earthquake or flood and will automatically send notifications to the required legal departments. They would come and protect the animals from getting trapped.
