This week you are asked to consider what you’ve understood about politics and war. Is war a natural element in the nature of humanity, a desire for more as discussed by Plato or Hegel, or truly a response to failed policy as claimed by Clausewitz? Or, can we reflect on the attitude of Thucydides, as presented in this video. Do we assume that humanity will always be faced with a need to respond militarily to conflicts not resolved politically?
Answer:
The activity of war might relate to the conditions related to the conditions of the armed conflicts that arise within the various countries, informal groups like the insurgents and the militia and the various societies. The following essay deals with the relationship that exists between the concepts of war and the politics within the concerned state.
The state of war might be characterized by the display of the extreme aggression, the incorporation of destruction within the concerned state. The conditions of war might also result in the matters related to the high rates of mortality that might result from the use of the various regular as well as the irregular forces of military. The conditions of war might be related to the political affairs that are pertinent within the country. According to Clausewitz, the war might be defined as the outcome that is directly derived from the various policies and activities that are related to the politics of the concerned state (von Clausewitz 2013). Clausewitz further opines that the war conditions might be referred to as the instruments that are related to the political affairs that are followed within the concerned country. The trinity concept of war that had been proposed by Clausewitz deals with matters that are related to the violence within the concerned state (Waldman 2016). The German strategist and military general further stated that the wars might be referred to as the chances that are undertaken by the concerned state backed by the national policies of the state.
Thus, from the above discussion it might safely be pointed out that the concept of war is interrelated to the concept of the politics that are followed within the territories of the concerned country.
