This organization was formed to help the people who are in need of immediate support. This organization gives assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and its families. The paper discusses the management strategies and communication practices used by the organization. These strategies and practices help Seal in maintaining the relationship in the public as well as to its workforce. Proper use of the communication channel in Seal helps to achieve the goals of the organization (Navy Seal Foundation, 2018a).
Analysis
Leadership
Fulfilling the philosophy and direction of the foundation is the primary objective of the organization. The leaders in the organization are familiar with the challenges and rewards associated with the services.
Board structure
Seal organisational structure is found to be hierarchical in nature. The advantage of using the hierarchy in the organization is that there is a clear chain of command in the organization that is who has reported to whom. Another advantage that workforce of getting from the hierarchical structure is that there is a clear path of advancement in their carreres (Konschak & Sands, 2015).
Current management strategies
A management strategy involves the implementation and formulation of the policies and rules in the organisation achieved the desired goals and objectives of organization. These management strategies include decision-related to the recruiting, managing the workforce, and optimum utilization.
The current management strategies in the Seal are found to be unique and different in nature. The leaders in the organization are found to build the strong integrity and engagement towards the work, which leads them to achieve the desired goals in the organization. Leaders in Seal are considered confidence, trust and calmness is necessary. Decisions must be taken in the organization while understanding the tough environmental condition. Due to all this reason, the retention of the workforce is found more in Seal due to the policies and rules followed in the organizations (Navy Seal Foundation, 2018b).
The communication in the organization between the all the level of management is found effective in nature. Leaders in Seal are introspective, self-aware and know their strengths and weakness, which are working great for the growth of the organization.
Accountability at all the levels
In Navy Seal, the accountability and ownership exist at all the levels in the organization especially during the stage of transformation or wars situations. This has direct impact on the performance, growth of organisation (Forbes, 2018a).
Participation and engagement
The organizational structure of the Seal is made in such direction that made the people participative and interactive in nature. According to the research done by the Gallop, only 15% of the workforce is engaged and are emotionally connected to their work. However, an organization like Seal, 100% of the workforces are found to engage towards their work and all are connected to the mission of purging the world of evil and defending the nation (Forbes, 2015a).
Communication
In any organisation, communication is like oxygen. All the high performance teams must have exemplary level of communication to be successful as like Navy Seals. Good communication in the organisation works as a cornerstone for any relation to flourish. This communication has been followed in Seal to survive the relation for the long time.
Communication strategies
Communication strategies use in the Navy seal starts by proper training them how to move, shoot, and communicate in a stressful environment. Good communication with the workforce develops the trust and drive the team in the right direction. When the company is internal performance becomes poor, it affects the trust factor of the workforce in the company. Therefore, Seal is always trying to maintain the trust among the workforce by arranging a regular meeting, a newsletter with them. This will have to improve the organization value in the eyes of the public and its workforce (Forbes, 2015b).
Public relation By Seal
The seal was found to maintain the public relation by using the strategies and specific branding techniques in the organization to influence the people at large. The seal is able to maintain the public relation by indulging the diversity in the structure and attracting the talent to be a part of the organization. The branding techniques used by the Seal are that they are visualizing the success and always try to overcome the failures (Forbes, 2018b).
Advancing the goals
While evaluating the communication strategies of Seal, it can be analyzed that there are various opportunities available to the organization to expand and enhance their goals by using their internal a external factors. Use of proper communication in the structure makes the role clear to the workforce, which leads to the achievement of goals. If all will go in the right direction in Seal, there is a chance to grow their goals and objectives (Bizfluent, 2017).
Conclusion
The two competencies discussed in the paper is related to the leadership strategies and communication practices in the Navy Seal Foundation. Developing the leaders in the organization is done to have the long-term success in the market with the targeted development and dedication at each stage and level. From the above discussion, it can be concluded that Seal organizational structure is hierarchical in nature, which gives benefits to the workforce and organization too. The management starting used to recruit and retain the workforce are found effective in nature. The leaders in Seal play a significant role in retaining the workforce in organisation. By communicating them and uses measures to build trust. The current communication strategies depict that the goal in the organisation can be enhance d by using the available opportunities in the environment.
