Marriage and Family
In binuclear families, single-parent families and blended families or step families, one family is headed by mother and the other family is headed by father. These two new families can be step family or either single-parent family. Most of blended families run in the problems when it comes to various dissimilar discipline styles. One parent can be soft and kind, whereas the other parent can be strict. On the other hand, one person heads the traditional families only (Lahad, Sabar & Sabar Ben Yehoshua, 2018).
These binuclear families, single-parent families and blended families or stepfamilies are different from the more traditional families. The main difference between the blended family or single parent family or stepfamily or binuclear family and the more traditional family is of family structure. The children of these types of family do worse compared to the children in the more traditional family. It is found that children of blended families, binuclear families and single-parent families mark low on measures of theoretical attainments, behaviour, mental changes, and the quality of relations of mother-child and relation of father-child. However, other people succeed these kinds of findings by highlighting that these results are not true for all the child of the blended family, only some child. The child of the traditional nuclear family may not be better off in the end. Children suffer from pre-divorce stress. In this way, many challenges and issues are faced by these families. However, they have some benefits also. The successful blended family or step family consider the feelings of others. They work along with others as a team. The binuclear family or singles parent family may also give children with financial strength (Cohen, Strong & De Vault, 2013).
